Our actions in India :

Bodghaya :

Chantal and Jean-louis have known Jean-Marc and his wife for many years: Jean-Marc has become Lama Tsultrim Guelek and she lives in a village near Dauphiné.
When he took part in the creation of a humanitarian association in India, “a school in Bodghaya”, in Bihar, “Enfants d’ailleurs” spontaneously offered their contribution, even if it was modest…



So was accepted a proposition of a motorized rickshaw (a car), as it was safer and more robust than a mere “cyclo-pousse” on the chaotic monsoon roads.

On this subject, we thank Graeme Allwright for his spirit of solidarity : he straightaway insisted on making a sizeable donation for that project, by means of “Enfants d’ailleurs”.
At the same time as their long-term patronage actions registered in Ethiopia and Brazil, EDA remains open to limited actions, and hope to continue this sort of emergency interventions in the future.

Our actions in Peru

Enfants d’Ailleurs a réalisé en 2003 un partenariat avec l’Association Franco-Peruana de Fomento al Desarollo à Arequipa – PEROU, grâce au dynamisme et à la bonté sans limites de son Président, le Père Jean Fréchet de la Paroisse Saint Paul à Grenoble.

Nous sommes intervenus auprès de Mauricio Meza qui s’occupe sur place du Centre de Santé, pour parrainer plusieurs enfants qui prenaient leur repas du jour à la cantine de la polyclinique d’Arequipa.

Ces enfants démunis des bidonvilles de « Los Cristalles », appelés là bas « pueblo joven » ont été pris en charge dans le cadre d’une mise en place d’un programme médical et surtout nutritionnel adapté à leur état de dénutrition.

Le Docteur J.B. Lenier, un dentiste bordelais, bénévole, se rendait régulièrement au Pérou pour apporter du matériel médical et prodiguer des soins dentaires à ces jeunes enfants.
Nous avons cessé depuis notre engagement à Arequipa car l’aide se voulait alors collective et Enfants d’Ailleurs privilégie le parrainage individuel.
Cette expérience fut positive et nous en gardons un souvenir émouvant et pragmatique !
